ECC Families,
As I sit here writing this letter, on Valentine’s Day I realize that I didn’t wear one bit of red, or any shade remotely close to it today. As a matter of fact I have on a very dismal grey sweater. I guess it a reflection of how a lot of us are feeling about this what seems to be very long winter! I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents who took the time to fill out the Diocesan Parent Survey. After the forms were tallied and the comments summarized I was given a synopsis of the comments. I would like to say that I appreciate all of the wonderful things that were said about me and our center. It means a lot to me and our staff that our families know how much we care about every child that walks through our doors. I also want to assure every parent that any concerns or dissatisfaction that was expressed is going to be reviewed and I will do my best to implement improvements in those areas. Communication is such a vital part of any relationship and I believe the only way to continue making our Preschool a welcoming, happy, and exceptional learning facility is to keep those lines of communication open – between staff, parents, and children.
Just a reminder that the Center is closed on Monday, February 18th. Also enrollment for school year 2008-2009 began February 1st. If you did not receive an Intent to Enroll Form please request one from the front office. I need to have all of the forms turned in by February 29th so that I know how many openings we have for new students. Along the lines of enrollment I need to know how many families are going to be with us for the summer session. Please make sure to check out the sign up sheet for summer at the front near the kiosk. We need to know if your child will be here or not and if your schedule is changing for the summer months. Please let me know if you have any questions with either of these enrollment processes.
We are so excited about the completion of our library area. We have ordered all of the furniture and should be receiving it next week. Once everything is set up we will be having a grand opening for our families. Keep on the look out for a flyer announcing this in the near future. As far as additional upcoming events this time of year is fairly quiet for the children but extremely busy for the office staff. Our next major event is going to be Pre-K graduation. I can’t believe it is almost here. The Pre-K teachers are discussing the date and should have that information out next week.
