Parish Prayer Chain:
Those who are members of the chain will pass your prayer request from one to another via telephone or e-mail. To place an intention on the Prayer Chain, call Dorothy at 816-524-3596.
Mass Intentions
Masses may be requested at the Parish Office for anyone who is living (Special Intention) or deceased, or for any personal intention for a free will offering. Sympathy cards and special intention cards are available if you wish to notify the family or person that a Mass will be offered at our parish for them or their loved one. Due to the high volume of requests we receive, Masses are generally offered a minimum of two months after being requested. If you wish to reserve a specific date and time, we suggest that you do so well in advance. For more information please call 816-251-1100
Prayer Request List:
Parishioners who are ill, or who have a family member or friend who is ill, may request to have the ill person remembered on the prayer request list in the parish bulletin by calling the Pastoral Care office. Be sure to obtain the permission of the ill person before requesting publication of their name. Names will be removed after two months or upon request. Names may be resubmitted for continued prayer by calling the Pastoral Care office at 816-251-1102. Requests will be listed in the next available bulletin.
Special Intentions Book
A Special Intentions Book is kept in the gathering space for those who prefer to keep their prayer intentions private. The intentions written in the book are known to God each time liturgy is offered in our sanctuary. To protect the privacy of individuals, we ask that only first names be written in the Special Intention Book. Please note that the names listed in the Special Intentions Book are not passed on to the Prayer Chain or the Prayer List published in the bulletin. To submit names for the parish Prayer Chain or Prayer List please contact the Pastoral Care office at 251-1102.
