Confirmation
Confirmation preparation generally begins with registration in the late fall of the candidate’s freshman year in high school and culminates with confirmation in the spring of the following year. They also meet periodically at the parish in a large group with sponsors, and participate in retreats and liturgical rites to mark their passage through the preparation process. Service to the parish and community is an important component of Confirmation preparation. Christy Gruenbaum, Director of Youth Ministry, directs Confirmation preparation, and adult volunteers serve as small group leaders, catechists, or sponsors.
