Religious Education - Grades 1-8
Our religious education program is for children ages three and one-half through eight grade and is designed to work in conjunction with parents who are the primary educators of their children. Registration is mid August. For more detailed information please see the registration packets which include a Parent Handbook complete with grade level objective.
The textbooks we use are:

Meeting Times
Preschool (ages 3½ -5, including kindergarten) meet on Sundays during the 10:00 Mass, mid September through April. This is a curriculum based program.
Grades 1-8 meet on Wednesday evenings from mid September through the first week in May. One session time is available. The session time is 5:30-6:45 p.m. Registration is in August 16-17, 2008 after all Masses.

Current Needs:
There is always a strong need for catechists (teachers) at all grade levels. Catechists are provided with a detailed teacher manual, orientation and training. We also provide childcare. You do not need to have any teaching experience to be a catechist. You may choose to teach your own child and to work with a friend as a co-teacher if you choose.
Substitute teachers, evening office assistants, hall monitors are also needed. For a complete list of volunteer opportunities, please contact our office at 251-1135.
