Ministry Opportunities Our Lady of the Presentation Religious Education office has many ministry opportunities available. For a complete job description contact the Religious Education Office. · Catechist-Grades one through eight - high school seniors and adults serve as teachers for evening classes. Training and materials are provided. · Classroom aide - high school junior/seniors and adults serve as assistants during evening classes for grades one through eight. · Emergency Personnel – handle injuries and possible medical problems that may occur during Religious Education class sessions. · First Reconciliation/First Communion Ministry Team – assist with planning and providing retreat activities for families involved in sacrament preparation. · Hospitality Committee – Provide food and hospitality for catechist (teacher) meetings and Religious Education Activities through out the year. · Office Assistant - assist with clerical duties during evening classes and Sunday morning classes. · Preschool catechist - high school students and adults serve as teachers on Sunday morning. Training and materials are provided. · Preschool classroom aide - junior high students and adults serve as assistants in the classroom. · Sunday School Social Planning Team – help organize and carry out a celebration events (i.e. Christmas, Easter, Year End, etc.) for the Sunday School Children. · Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC) Sponsor - companions to children ages 7 to 14 who are in the process of discernment about becoming Catholic. · RCIC Catechist - high school seniors and adults lead children ages 7 to 14 in faith-based activities and discussion in preparation for initiation into the Church. · Vacation Bible School Committee – assist with the planning and implementation of our Summer Vacation Bible School program.
