Dear OLP Parents and
Families
Our Lady of the
Presentation School Advisory Board would like to take this opportunity
to welcome everyone back to school. We especially want to welcome all
new families to OLP. We also want to take the time to inform parents on
Who we are and What we do. The board members
are elected by the parents and serve a three (3) year term. We meet the
second Monday of each month in the Etue room at 6:30 pm. The
meeting minutes are posted on the
school website.
We are strictly an
advisory board
We, as a group, represent all the
parents/students of the school to serve as a communication link between
the school administration and the parents
We participate in the ongoing strategic
planning of the school
We formulate ideas for policy/procedures
for the pastor to enact and the principal to administer
We provide general oversight on school
finances
We participate in the selection/retention
of the principal
We DO NOT:
Make final decisions on policy,
procedures and finance for the school
Make decisions on personnel issues
Annual School Board
Survey:
The results from the
2005-06 survey are posted on the school website. The results of the
survey will determine the major issues that we will work on for this
year. For example, last year we worked on putting a plan into action
for: school cleanliness, lunch program and School Advisory Board
communication.
